“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, the everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
“Of the increase of His government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon His kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgement and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform it.” Isaiah 9:6,7
This is one of a few verses of scripture that have been on my heart as we come to the crossroads of entering a new era. The governance of God in this world and in this country couldn’t be clearer. Another verse is in Matthew 6:10: “Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.” It is clear in both the Old Testament and in the New Testament that His kingdom, His Lordship, is to be, and is being, established in this life, as it is in heaven.
The example of Belshazzar in Daniel 5 comes to my mind. After his father, Nebuchadnezzar, had learned his lesson from God, “…till he knew that the most high God ruled in the kingdom of men, and that He appointeth over it whomsoever He will” (Daniel 5: 21b and Daniel 4:25b), Belshazzar did not humble his heart, though he knew all that, but lifted up himself against the Lord of Heaven, and did not glorify God, “in whose hand thy breath is, and whose are all thy ways,” (Daniel 5:22,23). Then came the “writing on the wall” by the the finger of God:
“Then was the part of the hand sent from Him; and this writing was written,
” And this is the writing that was written, MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN. This is the interpretation of the thing: MENE; God hath numbered thy kingdom, and finished it. TEKEL; Thou art weighed in the balances, and found wanting. PERES; Thy kingdom is divided, and given to the Medes and Persians.” (Daniel 5: 24-27)
God rules in the kingdom of men, and appoints over it whosoever He will.
Another example of God appointing men in government is found in Isaiah 45. God raised up King Cyrus of Persia, who didn’t even know God, to do His will in the earth:
“Thus saith the LORD to His anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden, to subdue nations before him; and I will loose the loins of kings, to open before him the two leaved gates; and the gates shall not be shut;
“I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron:
“And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the LORD, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel.
“For Jacob my servant’s sake, and Israel mine elect, I have even called thee by thy name: I have surnamed thee, though thou hast not known me.
“I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me.
“That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the LORD, and there is none else.” (Isaiah 45: 1-6)
“I have raised him up in righteousness, and I will direct his ways: he shall build my city, and he shall let go my captives, not for price nor reward, saith the LORD of hosts.” (Isaiah 45:13)
My Dream from October 18, 2020
I had a dream the morning of October 18, in which I saw massive structures and things being torn down all around where I was, here in my living room. I waited, and then saw in my spirit, a large desk in the heavenlies, and on it letters of permission, letters of inquiry challenging certain people’s permission to be there and to operate there, and the permissions given only if their identity was verified and approved! There were many letters, of which I saw about three, but could not read the names clearly, only part of a name. The Lord said to me to watch, pay attention, and be aware, of the names and people in governmental and leadership positions in my area, and I believe also in this country and in the Church. I have been interceding for the city in which I live, challenging and standing against the principality over this whole area, which is oppressive, controlling and deceptive. I’ve been crying out “tear it down!” The strongholds are crumbling, being torn down! I am, we are, to watch, pray, and intercede!
We are to watch and pray for the government in this country, and for the Church! Those in authority in this nation are being weighed in the balance of God. We are already seeing God’s appointed people taking positions in the government. The persons who are in a position of leadership and who are in rebellion to God, who are standing against God, against Jesus Christ, against His word, and against His people, against the Church, are being removed, and replaced with those of His choosing, for His purposes, who will do His will. They will have their positions given to those who will honor God above man. God is raising up a people who will honor Him above all else, out of a deep, intimate, committed love relationship with Him. He is placing these people in strategic positions in all areas of influence in this country, and in the nations.
He is answering our prayers! The demonic strongholds and structures are coming down! But we must continue to watch and pray!
The Choice is Ours
In these days it is crucial that we know what God wants in our lives, in the Church, and in this nation. God wants obedience to His Word. Jesus said in John 15: 14, “Ye are my friends, if you do whatsoever I command you.” That’s pretty clear! The first commandment is this, which Jesus said here:
“And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
“And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.” (Mark 12: 30, 31)
We cannot love our neighbor if we first do not first love God, with all that we have. Loving Him means obeying Him. “He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, it is he that loveth me.” and again, “If a man love me, he will keep my words.” (John 14: 21, 23)
This is a clarion call and a warning to the Church, and to this Nation, to repent of all disobedience, to humble ourselves in His presence, pray, turn from our wicked ways, to love Him completely, to KNOW Him intimately and abide in the secret place, in Him, to glorify Him in all we say and do, and to walk in obedience to His Word. We must stand up for the sanctity of life, the covenant of marriage, and for the freedom to worship Him, in this nation. If we choose to disobey the Lord in allowing the killing of babies, shedding innocent blood, which is an abomination to the Lord, and in allowing other atrocities such as child abuse and human trafficking, there will be consequences to our choices and actions. We must choose the ones in the government who stand for the sanctity of life, the covenant of marriage between a man and a woman, and the freedom to worship God. We will be held accountable for allowing the murder of innocent children by not standing against this abomination. We will have become participants in this slaughter by our silence, and by choosing to put into office those who support this mass slaughter, and who are against the Lord in this nation. We will be partakers of their sin and of their judgement (Revelation 18: 4).
The choice is ours to make. We must choose life (Deut. 30: 15-20)!!! To not choose life is to choose death.
“Now therefore fear the LORD, and serve Him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the LORD.
“And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve: whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” (Joshua 24: 14,15)
